Hot on the heels of Malton Food Lovers Festival last month,
food markets in Yorkshire are teeming with talent, fresh produce and artisan
delights. Each one packing some serious flavours, locally sourced food has
never tasted so good. Here is the definitive guide to eating in Yorkshire this
summer.
On the last weekend of the month, the cloisters at Kirkstall
Abbey host some of the finest produce around. Saturday serves up outstanding
food and drink whilst Sunday will sell the same alongside local crafts.

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, head to Malton
in North Yorksire for its monthly Food Market. Cooking demos to live music,

Peddler night market in Sheffield sets its stalls out on the
7th and 8th of July and then again in on the first
weekends in August and September. Showcasing some of the regions best, expect
street food, craft beer music and cocktails. Everything here is hip, everything

Grassroots festivals don’t come better in the form of Hull’s
Humber Street Sesh. More in the way of music, food will still play a big part
in the 200+ acts and 30,000 strong crowds which descent upon Humber Street for
this one day extravaganza. Alongisde the markets, see Thieving Harrys for great
coffee and slices of cake, whilst restaurant and bar 1884 holds its absolute

Set in the magnificent ground of Castle Howard, on Saturday
the 29th and Sunday 30th July expect a whole family
affair from 10am to 5pm when the Great British Food Festival arrives. With a
stage performances and live demos featuring Great British Bake Off contestants,

Long established and super tasty York Food and Drink
Festival returns on September 22nd and then again on October 1st.
Celebrating local food and transforming the streets of York, the festival
brings in big crowds to sample excellent produce. York Cookery School bring in
expert chefs showing amateur foodies how to make delicious dishes, whilst pop
up bar York Brewery and the Wine Chapter will make sure no one leaves without a
